dallas market

Last week I made my first trip to Dallas Market. It was a little overwhelming, but I had an absolutely wonderful time exploring and meeting with showroom managers.

My first stop was the Codarus Showroom where I spotted these Dash & Albert rugs that I'm devising a plan for.
Next up was Global Views. I couldn't get enough of the starburst hardware on these consoles.
This guy would be so good in an entryway.
Found some fabric possibilities for an upholstery project at J. Mackie and Associates. I'm especially loving the light blue pattern.
I also fell in love with this fab citron colored chair.
Finally, I made a stop into Feizy Rugs, and wanted to take the whole showroom home with me.
They had the most fabulous stacks of antique rugs to peruse,
and rugs in every color of the rainbow.
I got so much inspiration during my visit. I can't wait to reveal some of my projects!

living room drapery

After searching forever to find the right shade of blue for the drapes in our living room, I think I've finally found something that will work. I haven't been able to get this Lonny image out of my head. It is exactly what I want our drapes to look like, but everything I was finding was too grayed-out or too bright.
I've finally settled on these blue velvet drapes from PBteen. The clearance price tag and free shipping helped make the decision a little easier, too.
They should be here shortly, and I'll be posting our completed living room as soon as they are up!

friday finds

This shop may be old news, but I stumbled upon jones and vandermeer 100% curious goods last night, and found some amazing fabrics that are incredibly affordable (most under $9/yard!). These are just a few of my favorites. They also have a number of fabrics that are absolutely perfect for the little ones, and I'll definitely be using in my next nursery design. Make sure to check out their website to see more.
