entryway reveal

I've been talking about finishing our entryway for months, but kept waiting for just the right things to make it complete. I'm happy to say it's finally finished
This is the poodle statue that I talked about here.

Her name is Shirley, and she's kind of my favorite thing in here.
The console is the cheapie Ikea RAST that I painted in BEHR Breath of Spring and finished with wood stain, clear gloss poly, and brass ring pulls.

Other Sources:
Poodle, Lamp, and Woven Basket were found at HomeGoods
Lucite Tray found on clearance at Pier1.

Coming up next week, bedroom and laundry room photos!

I'm still working to complete our entryway. Due to measurments, my original plan didn't work so I've been at a standstill trying to figure out what to do. I ended painting our RAST and using it as an entry console, and I recently scored these curtains seriously on sale at Anthropologie. I wasn't sure where I was going to put them, but I think they'll brighten up the entry nicely.
I'll keep you updated as the project comes along!

entryway design plan

Using the rug that I mentioned in this post, I've decided to change up my entryway plan. Wallpaper is going to be a no-go, and I really don't want to paint again, so I've used things we have around the house to create this space. I also figured that using the F word in two different places might freak a few people out, so instead of this fun banner, I'll settle with moving our current bathroom artwork out into the entry. Because really, if that poster isn't a motivational way to start the day, then I don't know what is!
