on my radar: vintage and antique bars

The home bar is back in a huge way. Instead of using a cart, creating a bar from an antique piece brings an unexpected and charming touch.
I'm obsessed with this peachy wall color (It looks a lot like the color in our laundry room). Those brass fixtures are also pretty dreamy.
I love the idea of displaying a collection of vintage decanters.

Do you have a bar in your home? If so, how do you style it to make it unique?

on my radar: woven wall hangings

I've really been loving all of the beautiful woven works of art I've been seeing lately.
Some of my favorites can be found by Minna, All Roads, and HeddleAndNeedle. I'm also feeling inspired to make my own using this DIY by Cali Katrina. This looks strangely familiar to weavings I made in 4th grade... so I think while it may take some time, it shouldn't be too difficult. I'm going to stock up on yarn today and get started so that I can hopefully finish before school starts again!

on my radar: painted ceilings

Some designers swear by painting the ceiling a different color than the walls, and I have to agree with this philosophy. I'm particularly fond of the combination of cream walls and ceiling painted in the lightest shade of blue.

What do you think? Would you paint your ceiling a different color than your walls, or do you prefer to keep them the same color?
